Pick up your dotting tool, pencil eraser, cotton swabs,  the end of a paintbrush, or even the tip of a knitting needle—whatever works best for you. Dip it into your chosen color, making sure you’ve got a medium amount of paint. Then, gently press it onto your surface to create a dot. Keep re-dipping and dotting to form the beautiful pattern you have in mind.
