Frank James Denton (1869–1963). He was a well-known New Zealand photographer: he was born in Wellington in 1869, took up photography in the 1890s, and later operated a studio in Wanganui after purchasing Alfred Martin’s studio in 1899. His surviving work is mainly associated with Wanganui and surrounding districts.
