The Original Dr. Bircher Grater (or Bircherraffel) is a traditional stainless steel kitchen tool developed around 1926 by Swiss physician Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner. Specifically designed to grate apples whole—including skin and core—into the fine, pulp-like texture required for authentic Swiss Bircher muesli, it features distinct sharp, punched teeth.
Also usable for vegetables, cheese and other fresh ingredients. Durable, easy to clean and made for everyday use.
