Vitreous ceramic switches, commonly featuring a solid white or black porcelain base with a brass or nickel dolly toggle, were a staple of residential electrical installations from the early 1900s through the 1940s, often produced in England. These switches are known for their durability, insulation properties, and “quick-break” mechanism.

Please note: Our electrical items are vintage items and are sold as collector’s pieces. If you intend to use them, we recommend that you have them inspected and certified for safety by a qualified electrician before connecting or operating them. Please consult your electrician before purchasing.
