Handmade six-pointed bead star made with round beads, tube beads and wire

Make beautiful six-pointed bead stars using beads, tube beads and wire. These sparkling stars are a lovely craft project for children with adult supervision and can be used as Christmas decorations, window ornaments or handmade gifts.

Step 1: Thread the inner circle

Start by threading the beads for the inner circle. For this star, you will need six larger beads and 18 smaller beads.

Thread them in this order: one large bead, three small beads, one large bead, three small beads, and continue until all the beads are threaded.

Step 2: Close the circle

Pass the wire through the first large bead to form a circle. Leave a length of wire at the starting end, as you will need it to finish the star.

Step 3: Make the first point

Thread two tube beads, one round bead and another two tube beads onto the wire. Pass the wire through the next large bead in the inner circle.

Step 4: Make the remaining points

Repeat the same pattern to make the other five points, working your way around the inner circle until all six points are complete.

Step 5: Finish your star

You will now have two wire ends. Use these to secure the star and make a loop for hanging, or thread additional beads onto the wire ends for extra decoration.
