History on Johann Seltmann Vohenstrauss: Brothers, Christian & Johann Seltmann, opened their factory in 1901 in Vohenstraub, Bavaria. Disputes caused Christian to leave & establish his own factory in Weiden, Bavaria in 1910. Johann constantly rebuilt and modernized his factory in Vohenstrauß. By 1914, it employed 500 workers.
