Kia ora, I’m Rawinia.
I am Christine’s Daughter in law of many years – and also a graphic and web designer at my design studio www.dayonedesign.nz.
My Willow Bank Back story:
We lived in Australia for 10 years and every year we would come back to visit – and there would be more and more little buildings added to the property.
Cool! We thought, but where is this going…..certainly it was Christine’s passion to preserve history and it was fun to show our friends and family.
When we moved back to NZ in 2017, we became a part of the village (quite literally) – we lived in the Villa at the front of the property for about 7 years. Christine began brainstorming ideas of what to do with this village she has created. Open days and events was an option. Weddings, what else?!
We threw out ideas too, however we are getting picky with the ideas we throw out to Christine now because they often spring alive before we can even think!
Over the years I have been involved with all the design work for Willow Bank as well as helping with Social media and website.
Its been awesome to watch Willow Bank go from a backyard novelty to a business that employs 4 people and has accommodation, events, is a venue and also an online shop! It’s a community hub and an asset to Wakefield and the wider Tasman Region.
