History – S. Lilley & Son: Founded in the 1840s in Birmingham, England, S. Lilley & Son became well known for producing high-quality brass and Bakelite electrical components. Their range included lampholders, mounting blocks, ceiling roses, switches, conduit fittings, and other lighting and electrical accessories. Many of their products were stamped “S.L. & S. Made in England”, a mark commonly found on small electrical fittings from the early to mid-20th century.
